Skógar. Skógafoss, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. Hiking trails to Fimmvörđuháls and Ţórsmörk, and to Landmannalaugar via the Laugavegur route.
Seljavellir (9 km). A geothermal swimming pool built into a rock face at the foot of the glacier Eyjafjallajökull.

Sólheimajökull (12 km). A deeply crevassed glacier tongue. Guided glacier hikes.
Ţórsmörk (60 km). Valley glaciers with interesting and easily accessible glacial features, such as moraines, and pure Icelandic forest. Beautiful views of Eyjafjallajökull.
Westmann Islands (44 km). Offshore volcanic islands where an eruption in 1973 partly destroyed the fishing town there. Ferry from Landeyjahöfn.
Vík (34 km). Vast expanses of volcanic sand at Mýrdalssandur, and cliffs and black-sand beaches at Vík, Reynisfjara and Dyrhólaey. Seabird colonies at Dyrhólaey, Vík and the Westmann Islands.
Dyrhólaey (27,5 km) Light house and rich of bird life. In summertime many puffins nest on the cliffs faces of Dyrhólaey
Skaftafell National Park (173 km) 2 hours drive from Skogar. Skaftafell is a preservation area in Örćfi, southeast of Iceland. It used to be a manor farm and a national park, but has been a part of Vatnajökull National Park since 2008.
Glacial Lagoon (225 km) It is told to be one of the greatest wonders of nature in Iceland. Huge blocks of ice constantly break off the glacier, Breiđamerkurjökull, and large icebergs float on the lagoon. Skaftafell and Glacial lagoon is the perfect day trip from Skogar.
Geysir (138 km) is one of the favorite stop a long the Golden Circle. Geothermal area with hot springs and boiling mud.
Gullfoss (144 km) is part of the Golden Circle. Gullfoss is one of the most popular tourist attraction in Iceland. As one first approaches the falls, the crevice is obscured from view, so that it appears that mighty river simply vanishes into the earth.
Ţingvellir National Park (147 km) most important historical site in Iceland. Beside being location of historical significance. Ţingvellir is also protected for its unique geology and natural features.
